A number of regions in RW 01, 02 and 03, Ancol Urban Village, Pademangan, North Jakarta already have waste bank. Each of them has one unit.
Ancol Urban Village Head, Sumpeno said he intensively does socialization to encourage other RWs to have waste bank. It is because waste volume has reached 35-40 tons per day.
300 Waste Banks will Be Made in Central Jakarta"Our waste bank is targeted to minimize waste that disposed to Bantargebang landfill," he expressed, Wednesday (5/17).
Besides reducing waste through early selection, it can also increase people's income.
"Last year, waste banks were operated at RW 02 and 03, as well as RW 01 in March 2017. This year, four RWs are targeted to have it," he finished.
